Medical and Health Commission
The Medical and Health Commission’s mission is to support health, safety and wellbeing of all the athletes and ensure safeguarding. Inspired by the work of the IOC Health, Medicine and Science Commission, it serves as a guideline to ensure the highest standards of medical care, safeguarding, and integrity.
Responsibilities
-Athlete safety, injury prevention and safe return-to-play.
-Ensure physical activity, and well-being.
-Safeguarding athletes and ensuring safe sport environments.
-Anti-doping education.
Objectives
-Ensure athletes have access to medical care and anti-doping services during competitions.
-Provide injury prevention, safe sport education to athletes.
Strategic Actions
-Conduct medical seminars at competitions to inform prevention strategies and educate athletes and entourage through courses and guidelines.
-Share knowledge and best practice to improve athlete care across all levels of ju jitsu.
