Guardian Girls and JJIF: Building Safer and Stronger Communities Through Jiu-Jitsu

| JJIFNews

The cooperation between the Jiu-Jitsu International Federation (JJIF) and Guardian Girls International (GGI) continues to strengthen the role of jiu-jitsu as a tool for safety, confidence and empowerment for women and girls.

The partnership was formalized during the JJIF World Championship in Bangkok in 2025, establishing a framework for joint activities connecting sport, education and social development.

Guardian Girls International, an initiative developed by the Shin Koyamada Foundation in partnership with UNFPA, uses martial arts and educational activities to promote confidence, bodily autonomy, resilience and the prevention of gender-based violence.

Today, we also highlight the contribution of the Italian representative of Guardian Girls, whose involvement reflects the international and community-based character of the programme and its growing connection with the jiu-jitsu family.

Through the cooperation between JJIF and GGI, national federations, clubs, coaches, athletes and ambassadors can contribute to creating safe and inclusive environments where girls and women can learn, train and grow with confidence.

Jiu-Jitsu is more than a sport. It can be a pathway to confidence, resilience and empowerment.

JJIF and Guardian Girls look forward to continuing this cooperation and bringing these values to more communities around the world.
