Algiers hosted the African Ju-Jitsu Championship 2026 from 17–20 September at La Coupole, Complexe Olympique Mohamed Boudiaf, bringing together competitors from across the continent for four days of action.
The event, organised by the Ju-Jitsu Algerian Federation under the Ju-Jitsu African Union and JJIF, featured a full programme of disciplines: Fighting, Jiujitsu, Jiujitsu No-Gi, Contact HIF, Duo System, Show System, Inclusive Self-Defence, and Team competition. Athletes competed across five age divisions — U16, U18, U21, Adults, and Masters.
The Championship closed on 20 September with the Team competition and Inclusive Self-Defence events, alongside Masters and U16 finals across all disciplines.
JJIF thanks the Jujitsu Algerian Federation and the Local Organising Committee for hosting a well-run continental Championship, and congratulates all medallists and participants.
