Safeguarding Women & Girls in Jiu-Jitsu

| JJIFNews

At Jiu Jitsu, safeguarding women and girls in Jiu-Jitsu is a priority we take seriously. As a sport that is traditionally male-dominated and involves close physical contact, we recognize the importance of creating an environment where female athletes feel safe, respected, and supported at all times.

We are committed to maintaining clear boundaries, professional coaching standards, and a culture of respect on and off the mats. Our approach to safeguarding is built on awareness, responsibility, and action — ensuring that women and girls can train with confidence and without fear of inappropriate behavior, discrimination, or intimidation.

This commitment is not new, and it will not change in the future. We will continue to listen to our athletes, address concerns promptly, and strengthen our safeguarding practices to protect the wellbeing of women and girls within our Jiu-Jitsu community.

Jiu-Jitsu should empower, not exclude. Athlete safety — especially for women and girls — will always remain at the core of our federation values.
