The Ju-Jitsu International Federation (JJIF) has taken a major digital step forward with the launch of its first AI-powered chatbot, developed in partnership with the German tech company Website Excellence Builders (W.E.B.) from Lutherstadt Wittenberg.

The new web-based assistant, named AiAssist, supports members, coaches, referees, and athletes by providing instant access to JJIF rules, competition formats, anti-doping policies, and other key information — available anytime and in any language.

Trained with JJIF’s official materials, the chatbot delivers accurate, sport-specific responses and enhances global accessibility and transparency within the federation.

“Our goal was to create a system that makes real knowledge easily available — clear, reliable, and globally understandable,” said Müller, CEO of W.E.B.

The project marks the beginning of JJIF’s broader digital transformation. Future developments include AI-driven guides for referees and coaches as well as a knowledge and document portal.

“Artificial intelligence is a learning process — this is just the start of an exciting journey,” noted Joachim Thumfart, Director General of JJIF.

Website Excellence Builders specializes in custom AI solutions, web platforms, and automation tools for organizations worldwide, combining innovation with user-focused design.

“When technology democratizes knowledge, the entire sport benefits,” added Jan Richter, co-founder of W.E.B.
